I think this is a MAYA issue... but I can't find any info on it. ANY help appreciated. I am animating some objects that are grouped under a node. I want to un-parent them from the group node and whenever I do they WILL NOT show up in the viewport.

Everything shows they are visible and yet in the hyper graph they look hidden.

ANY ideas welcome. Animation due tomorrow and I have tried regrouping within the node. Parenting to a locator etc they will not move independently so I try to ungroup them to re-animated them separately... no go.

Wow this is a first... I have never seen orange text in the attribute editor before????

When an attribute is in orange it probebly has a render layer override. try to right click on it and choose `remove layer overide`. check your render layers also.
hope this helps.

You should work on the master render layer. Then you will see it.
