Speed of Rendering Inside Maya Compared to Standalone Octane

:?: It seems that rendering inside Maya is significantly slower using Octane Plugin compared to exporting to the Octane Standalone application. The factor is multiple times faster in the Standalone.

1. Is this normal?
2. Can I make the internal render faster?
3. Are there any plans to make shaders that will translate directly to the standalone?

I like the plugin because it's more convenient. I can hide layers which is great, but if it means I sacrifice 20 times slower speeds, it might be better just to go back to the export script.

You should increase the refresh interval in Octane settings. The lower the refresh interval - the slower the render. 3 seconds instead of default 100ms will be good enough.
