Ho, right, sorry about this ! I must be checking only 1 level of material .. This will be fixed in the next release!

A temporary work-around, for testing the TexSelector, is to first apply a Diffuse material with a dummy TexSelector as Diffuse texture to your objects. Then, you see those objects in the dummy TexSelector and can setup them with the 'Fix issues' button.
Once it's done, the objects will keep those settings (the Octane Geometry modifier), and can be used with a Mix Material / sub material / TexSelector..
