Hey everyone,
due to the recent Autodesk subscription and pricing politics, I am currently thinking about moving from 3ds Max to C4D (or maybe another modelling software). Therefor I was wondering if it was possible to export my Octane materials or even my whole material libraries from 3ds max, so that I can import them into any new octane-plugin of another modelling software like C4D? And if so, how would be the correct way to do so? It would save a LOT of time not having to re-create the materials.
As I have not yet much knowledge about C4D , I was also wondering if there were any other compatibility issues to be considered regarding Octane? For example if the instancing system is fully compatible (in RailClone for 3ds Max for example, instances were not recognized by Octane).
Is there anyone who works with both softwares and is able to compare?
Thank you inadvance for your help.
Greetings
