Octane Materials not exported through Obj Export Tweet

So if I understand correctly Obj export only supports standard materials in 3ds Max and therefore these are the only kind of materials that can get exported through the obj exporter in 3ds Max. If this is true it absolutely sucks because I usually like to set up my octane materials in 3ds Max before exporting to Octane Standalone.

I've been struggling with this for a long time. If anyone could help me export from 3ds Max to Octane properly I would be very grateful.
