I did everything like in your video, even under German interface. No crashes. That becomes annoying.
I will continue attempts to catch it.

I still can't reproduce this bug, unfortunately.

MY system is i7 3930K with win 7 x64 pro SP1.
gtx680 main display + Titan
Cuda devices are setup as Titan Active. GTX680 Active with Low priority.
nvidia driver ver. 314.22

I dont use GPU overclock while working with octane viewport
Just when final rendering.

I too can't produce the crash every time.
But mostly It crashes if I hide an object via layer manager while the OCT. Viewport in on.

Hi Karba,

Here is another bug I've found. I'm not sure if somebody else said it.

If I use texture for bump on Glossy Material. The alpha of that object get a litte weird.

The first image is without the bump map. Value=0
The 2n image is with bump with image imagetexture doesnt matter if its float image texture
3rd image is the the alpha channel as you'd see.

Hi,

I tried to reproduce crash with proxy with the file of "cfrank78" and do the same as in the video and have no problem, no crash.

But I also notice, sometimes, the problem of alpha as "oguzbir" report.

Config:

Win 7 64bit / 3dsMax 2013 64

gtx 460 for display
2x TITAN + 1x GTX 580

nvidia drivers version 314.07

I don´t know what Karba did, but the File he sent me works fine. Worked now 3 hours without any crash! It seems he found the Problem. What a great support!

As far as I can see the crashing has gone in 1.13
Before I see 1.13 post I had just able to recreate the crash error.

And I uploaded the file crashing file here so it's recreateable in 1.12..
Here I post the scene.

To test the crash.:

Open the scene.
run octane viewport.
Select and hide the ground plane. It's not moveable proxy.
So please refresh the octane viewport. Viola.. Crash for me in 1.12

I must say that the crashing is gone in 1.13
Cheers for Karba..
