Are exporters developpers still on the place ?..

... except of course abstrax and face, very present - but unfortunaly i don't work with the apps they manage ( in my case, i have licence of maya and lightwave and i use sometimes blender...)- , i was wondering if other developpers are still on the place.

Plugins maya and blender are running fine ( still with 2.48c ) but i sent a thread on a big lightwave exporter bug ( when you launch an animation, impossible to stop it after launched ....) a long time ago and nobody answered.
holocube, Are you still here ? :)

Another question, do you gather that the exporters will have to change with the next octane versions ( beta 2.5; 1.0 final ... ), because of internal octane's evolutions ?

Well, abstrax is from the team and I have only to tune my car
Maybe that is it why we´re present.

I think we all will become a mail with the new guidelines if there are changes...

The Modo exporter dev seems to be gone, and so far I am getting a bit better results with just an OBJ export for a basic scene - their view was to do the work inside of octane, while I feel myself the renderer should be more transparent unless you want to get fancy...

Learning python/modo scripting/octane scripting in one go seems quite a task, but perhaps there is something I can do in smaller steps to improve on this exporter.

Though I am sure this won't be as simple as I'm thinking.

In the open source world making a fork and doing good work on it is usually viewed favorably, I'm not quite so sure how the atmosphere is surrounding these exporters, don't want to step on any toes.
