Hi,
I recently put a second GPU in my computer and worked pretty fine even in octane, but since 2 days everytime i try to switch to render mode it display this error in the log
Code: Select all
CUDA error (101) on device 0: invalid device ordinal
-> failed to register D3D11 texture
device 0: shared surface output failed

In the standalone version and in octanebench it doesnt seems to have this issue as the render runs smoothly.
Blender cycles and eevee runs perfectly too.
i tried to run on each of the GPU in the device preference but doesn't change anything.

Thank you for your help guys (sorry for my broken english aha)

Win 11
RTX 4080 + RTX 2070 SUPER
RAM Capacity 64gb
Nvidia driver version 537.42 (studio)
OctaneRender plugin version 27.17

Thanks for reporting this problem. We will take an investigation.
Can you please try to disable the "Use Shared Surface for Viewport(recommended)" feature on the octane preferences panel and let me know how it goes? Thanks!

Cheers,
Tom
