Hi guys i have downloaded Octane Demo Standalone, but seeing some tutorials on youtube i have notice that in my view i have not the "preview Configuration" and so also if i add some obj file to work i can't see it, where i am wrong?

then i would use connected to C4D, how can i do?

i have a new MacBook pro 2019

Hi vinceskiopp,

unfortunately we are in a transitional phase.

At the moment, you should need to install a frash copy of High Sierra + custom script + Nvidia eGPU box via Thunderbolt 3, but your Mac is too new, and cannot go back to High Sierra, so you should need to install also Bootcamp/Win 10, to be able to use an Nvidia eGPU box via Thunderbolt 3.

But this nightmare is going to finish very soon.

We have just closed the OctaneX Beta program:

When ready, we will be able to use OctaneRender on our Macs with both AMD or Intel GPUs, and also interact with other PCs in the LAN for Network rendering, or with AMD eGPU boxes, but without need of custom scripts, and directly and natively in Catalina 10.15.5 or greater.

si certo, ma non è proprio così, diciamo che le GPU AMD, Intel e iOS non erano ancora state utilizzate per questo scopo, ma le GPU Nvidia restano ottime per il rendering.
Purtroppo però non possono più essere utilizzate sotto Mac, niente RTX GPU, quindi l’unica possibilità era di poter sfruttare le GPU supportate sotto Mac, e fortunatamente ci siamo riusciti
