This is not an error message, you need to press the Download button to download the cuDNN library once and for all.
Here are the direct links for downloading a more recent demo version for c4doctane v2019.1.4-R2:
[Win](https://render.otoy.com/plugindownloads ... R2-win.rar)
[Mac](https://render.otoy.com/plugindownloads ... Macosx.zip)

Please have a look at the installation video for C4D R20 on how to install in the Preferences/plugins directory, it works for every RXX version:

Hey, I have the same issue. Even after the download. I get an ERROR pop-up and Cinema4D stops responding. Even the standalone version doesn't open after download.
Everytime I open it, Its asks for Download. And I can't manually copy the files because there is no destination called "thirdparty\cudnn_8_0_4"
I have used Octane render previously with Cinema4d but never had this issue. I try it now and I have this issue. please help me out

What about the Nvidia driver version installed?

Please, also download and run GPU-Z:
https://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/
And share a screenshot from the Graphics Card tab, for all the available Nvidia GPUs, thanks:

Then please download and run OctaneBench 2020.2.3, and share a complete screenshot of the result, thanks:

Hey ,thanks for the quick reply. Here are the screenshots as you asked. It has worked previously on the same system. Not sure why it isn't working this time around.

Unfortunately the OctaneBench screenshot is not complete, so I cannot see which version has been used exactly.

Another thing to check is to have updated Win 10 to 2004 or greater.

Please install and open Standalone 2020.2.3, right click anywhere in the node graph panel, and choose Materials/Metallic, to create the material node.
Now right click on the node and choose Render.
Then please share a screenshot of the Standalone interface thanks.

If you see the Material Ball scene, everything is working correctly.

I just experienced this issue installing the Octane Standalone Demo on a Paperspace virtual machine (Windows 10 Server in Desktop mode with dedicated p4000 GPU).

Pressing the download button started the download, but the dialog then just disappears. The other buttons in the dialog didn't work.

Because Octane hadn't been installed there was no corresponding AppData directory.

I fixed the issue by:

- Copying the URL for the download from the dialog and downloading the .zip
- Creating the missing directory at: `C:\Users\paperspace\AppData\Local\OctaneRender\thirdparty\cudnn_8_0_4`
- Coping the .dll files from the .zip into the above directory
- Run Octane Standalone again

Hey, I was able to fix the issue for octane plugin for cinema4D. I manually copied the 8_0_4 files which I downloaded from your website in to Libs300 file inside the octane plugin file and its working now. thanks again!
But I have another issue now. I was using octane to make renders and all of a sudden C4d crashed and now whenever I try to open octane, Cinema4D stops responding. Please help me out. Thanks!
