Haven't noticed it really on anything else, but when I render using specular, I seem to get a few super bright pixels (or more than a few sometimes).

Thanks for the great product and I'm happy I could support you guys early on.

Hi,

there are normal, they are caustics, long paths with a high contribution, a side effect of unbiased path tracing.
MLT will solve this problem which is in development and slated for beta 2.3, the release coming after the one we're releasing this week, beta 2.2
