Coating layer bug on universal material :

Coating remove bumps if there in sheen layer too with bumps connected to it

I cannot reproduce this, but I also cannot see all your material settings in the video. Please provide simplified scenes in addition to your videos.

I have attached a test scene with bump, sheen bump and coating. It's working as expected. Right click the universal material > render.

I tried this HDRI https://polyhaven.com/a/je_gray_park .

Doesn't seem like the AI denoiser likes it as it will shift the texture and it's still noisy.

Hey guys,

Texture displacement cannot use the border modes on an image texture.
If i use eg. clamp values or white borders on an image, it still sees that as “wrap around”.

Is that a limitation or a bug? I was told to post here instead of c4d forums.

Here is scene. Please try to increase coating.

It looks like Sheen Bump interfere with Coating.

Can you explain what you mean by "shift the texture"? Can you post an image of the main pass so we can compare it?

I noticed this HDRI has a very bright sun which will clip by default. Click settings (spanner icon) on the RGB image node and set the texture import type to 32 bit float. Does this help?

You have attached an OCS which is missing the geometry and textures. Please export an ORBX.

Yes. Setting it to 32bit fixed the problem. Thanks.

Yes, this is a limitation of texture displacement.
