I understand their strategy with plugins, which is a more long-term oriented plan. It just feels that we are waiting for certain features for ages (like new nodes for more power & flexibility in shading).

... as all the upcoming plugins are not developed by rsl but external developers, you can be sure, that they are fully focused on the main product. i expect to see a major update very soon. but this i'm only guessing from rsl staff forum presence patterns :)
