So I see this is due to portals

I checked your scene and Roeland's portal fix also fixes the performance difference.

Not yet, but currently, everything points to another release tomorrow.

...and the exposure issue between versions, has anyone else reported it?

(The scene in question is a client work product and I can't share it unfortunately).

The portal problem might also affect brightness in general. Do yo use the Standalone or some plugin? If it's the latter: There has been a bug fix in 3.04 that sets the distribution brightness of emitters to 1 in case the distribution pin is not connected. In the past (due to an oversight) a distribution texture of 0.7 would have been applied in this case. The Standalone converts older scenes accordingly, but plugins may have a different behaviour.

I use the LW plugin, which exhibited the brightness issue, and then also exported an orbx file which also had the same issue.

I just tested new 3.04.5 and speed is comparable to 3.03.04 now.

Thank you!
