Using the latest RC4 build. The Material Builder is missing the shader out socket. It makes it impossible to connect to the collect node to allow different renderers to load appropriate materials for each render.

Thank you again for this.
Correct, the Material builder and other texture node we have in OctaneSolaris is from the Houdini main plugin.
The workaround to use the collect node is to use normal Octane Material>out material node then pin into the collect node.

We plan to implement OctaneSolaris Material builder for Houdini 20.
