How to stop the licensing server?

I installed Octane Solaris build for Houdini and now it seems like it's conflicting with my Octane for Blender. I can't run Octane for Blender since when I'm launching the license server it gives me not one but two error “Socket Error” messages at once:

“Error binding socket on TCP port 5130: An attempt was made to access
a socket in a way forbidden by its access permissions.
Please note that you can only run one instance of OctaneServer at a
time, attempting to run more than one instance will tri”

“Error binding socket on TCP port 5131: An attempt was made to access
a socket in a way forbidden by its access permissions.
Please note that you can only run one instance of OctaneServer at a
time, attempting to run more than one instance will tri”

What do I do? I need Octane for Blender to work for my job. How do I stop the license from Octane Solaris for Houdini? Are the any processes I can kill to free up the license and launch license server for Blender?

Restarting my PC helped to free up the licensing process. Now I can run license server for Blender again. But it's a bad expirience. If there is a better way to control how to turn off the license server for Octane for Houdini, please advices.

Hi Alexey,

Thanks for the post..
It looks like you are trying to re-run Octane Server when it is already running in the background.
Please check the Windows taskbar before launching Blender Octane.
Or you could leave the OctaneServer as is, then enable the "Release Octane license after exit" option from the Blender Octane preference.
OctaneServer will activate the Octane license when Blender Octane is running.

For, the OctaneSolaris user Octane license is activated using the Octane node>Octane Settings>Tools tab>Show Octane Authorization and run Octane from the viewport.

cheers
Kind Regards
