As the subject says, I noticed that the material options that should control the lip gloss effect do not really work. The problem is the same with both bump map and normal map based presets.
Basically, what is happening is, that the preset loads just fine, but if you check the Octane Render System messages, the following error gets shown, regardless of what level of gloss you select:
- Code: Select all
11:04:08.118: could not find file or directory 'C:\Program Files\RedSpecTGX\daz3d_genesis8fem\spec\g8f_lips_spec_higloss.jpg'
I did check my purchase history and it shows: RedSpec TGX tailored MK3 for Genesis 3 and 8 Females Item# TGX TAI MK2 (GEN3F)
So this should be OK. When I check the installation folder however, there is no daz3d_genesis8fem sub folder in it.
If I edit the loaded preset and manually change the lip gloss specular 'brick' to point to the texture spec texture map from the daz3d_genesis3fem then all works.
Also a funny thing that I just realized is, that when I download the purchased set of shaders, then the name of the archive that is downloaded is: redspec_tgx_tailored_mk3_gen3fems_gen8fems.zip
However, when I extract it, then it contains 2 files. One is an archive that should be extracted to DAZ content folder (and which correctly contains presets for both Gen3 and Gen8 female figures) and the other is an executable installer named redspec_tgx_tailored_mk3_gen3fems.exe which apparently installs (as it says in its name) just the G3 support assets to the C:\Program Files\RedSpecTGX which basically explains the missing daz3d_genesis8fem sub folder.
Or... I am genuinely confused...
