In general if you can't render your scene properly with 1 million samples/pixel, you either have to change your scene or change your method.
Problems for caustics!??? But I tested 10 laps of 1 MS/px (= total 10 MS/px) and caustics got no any issues at
path tracing kernel.

GTX 980 Ti SC+ at photon tracing kernel (NOTE: PPM method can't render any variable caustics at less than ~0.4 roughness of glossy ground) but
brightness increased badly caustics --

2h10min at 1002x602 (due to "demo") on my new
RTX 4090 at path tracing kernel --
(Very) Good caustics = caustics little noised despite path tracing kernel.
