Will this update be released today? Or what does soon mean? 2 days? A week?
Thanks

Sorry about that!
We're going to release a new build soon, with Hair and Render Layer features implemented (and of course a lot of bug fixes)! ;)

That's a great news!
I just downloaded and installed Octane today and didn't have the chance to test it yet. Looking forward to this.

Here is the changelog of 20.2
- Support motion blur in final render for the camera, object, mesh, and particle system
    - Please tick "Property-Object-Motion Blur" on to enable motion blur for movable objects
    - Please tick "Property-Object-Motion Blur-Deformation" on to enable motion blur for resharpable objects
    - Please use "Property-Object-Motion Blur-Steps" to modify the subframes of the object(smoother motion blur with more subframes)(Please check the sample)
- Upgrade to 2019.1
    - Add "Affect roughness" in specular layer and sheen layer
    - Add "Transmission type" in universal materials
    - Remove "Thin wall" in universal material
    - Remove "Affect roughness" in kernels
- Support to convert the environment from old OctaneBlender
    - Now the environment nodes will be created automatically based on the environment settings in old OctaneBlender files(17.x and 18.x)

Please notice that viewport motion blur is not available due to the blender limitation. We will look for some workarounds to support it in the future.
The hair feature and render layer system are under development and should be ready in the next 20.x.

Cheers,

Hi!
Im new on Octane and Im really impressed about the speed and the overall look on rendes vs Cycles. But im having some trouble, hope someone can help. In the viewport preview my image looks really bright, but when I render looks really dark, is that normal? And also, is there documentation on Octane Blender 2.80? I need to read a lot because ima having trouble with the nodes...

Please don't do it that way any more. I wasted a day transferring my scene to 3d max. Let licensed subscribers use it TILL you release a new version at least.

ortho camera is still not working

How am I supposed to update Octane?
Am I supposed to download something?
Should the Octane Serverd download something in auto?
I cannot access the Server's menu (if there is one) as when I click on the Server's icon with the right mouse button it auto-closes without showing any option.

I have read about this somewhere and there is a way to fix it. Look it up. I just tried for 10 minutes and couldn't find it. But there is a way to fix it sorry.
