I believe Kai is implementing right now the new collector node system for "geometry types" for V3/alpha 8
Hopefully this will open the door to great workflow improvement.

It's possible to mass change the geo's type via the attribute spread sheet.

Windows / General Editors / Attribute Spread Sheet

You will find the octane geometry type entry under Shape Keyable, use values 0 - 4

Well it's even faster in the channel box to do the same, but that's not the point of this feature request.
The point is to have a global temporary overide of the geometry types in IPR, but without loosing my original assigned geometry types.
Since I have asked for this feature for Maya, Jimstar implemented it for Blender but not for Maya , must have mixed up the sofwares :lol:
