My Mac book pro is Big Sur 11.7.10, and Nvidia Geforce GT 750M 2G. Why always "No GPU which can be selected", when I used OC P11 for C4D R22? This has been bothering me for a long time. Who can help me? thank you a lot!

Hi,
OctaneX for Big Sur works with AMD GPUs only, your Mac is equipped with an Nvidia GPU, so you need to go back to High Sierra and use the MacOs CUDA version of Octane.
It is not possible to run Octane CUDA under Big Sur, since Nvidia has stopped to develop CUDA with High Sierra 10.13:
https://devtalk.nvidia.com/default/topi ... cos-10-14/

So you need to install a fresh copy of High Sierra, even on an external hdd/ssd:
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/macos-h ... 4741?mt=12

With CUDA 418.163 version, and latest GPU drivers.
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/cu ... 63-driver/
https://www.nvidia.com/download/driverR ... 147/en-us/

Then you can install c4doctane Mac CUDA version 2020.2.5-R3:

But please also note that 2GB is a very low VRAM quantity, and you can only render very basic simple scenes.

ciao,
Beppe

I'm using a MacBook Pro Mid 2012, and I know that the built-in NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M is completely useless, so I can imagine that a 750M won't make much of a difference.
For this reason, I am using a GTX 1080 Ti connected to the eGPU, but it will not work unless I match the HighSierra revision and driver version accurately, and I know that such a task is extremely complicated.
So I know that it is not recommended for everyone.
I also use the M1 Max MacBook Pro, but there is no need to compare the usability.
We strongly recommend that you also migrate to a new Mac or PC.
