Light passes and instanced objects

I've been trying to disable a light pass on a set of instanced objects. I may have misunderstood how this is achieved, but disabling the pass on the octane parameters on a geo node doesn't appear to work when the node contains either packed or instanced geometry.

I attach an example which shows the problem.

Yes, this seems to be a limitation of the packed instancing code. As a workaround, you can use the conventional instancing if you configure the light passes in the master objects. I'll take a look at it to check if this limitation can be fixed.

Thanks,
