Ok, this is a strange error that I have encountered both in Houdini 15.5 and 16.
Error: Bad node type found: octane_vopnet in /obj/shopnet1/octane_rendertarget_dl1.
Warning: Skipping unrecognized parameter "OCTANE_SHOP_parmSwitcher".
Skipping unrecognized parameter "ogl_diff".
Skipping unrecognized parameter "ogl_emit".
Skipping unrecognized parameter "ogl_spec".
Skipping unrecognized parameter "ogl_rough".
Skipping unrecognized parameter "ogl_alpha".
Skipping unrecognized parameter "ogl_light".

I have the Houdini 3.05.3.0 Houdini Plug-in.
Whenever I point Houdini 15.5 to this folder: Octane_3.05.3.0_Houdini_15.5.673_OSX
I receive this errror. If I point Houdini 16 to this folder, I receive the same error.
However, if I point Houdini 15.5 to this folder : Octane_3.05.3.0_Houdini_15.5.632_OSX
It works fine, but if I point Houdini 16 to that folder, I receive the Bad Node Type error.
Also, I'm a bit confused as to how I can try out the new Octane 3.06 in Houdini.
Both stand alone versions of Octane run on my system.
Mac OSX 10.12.3
nVidia Titan X
Any ideas or suggestions?
