There is one bug in 'daylight simulation animation'.
The time goes forward and jumps and goes backward and ......
If you want to see it, try with standard benchmark scene.
I made an avi file and checked it, but it's too large to upload.

bad aliasing on hard edges

Is anyone else seeing this? I'm rendering the octane_benchmark scene and even after 4500 samples/px the aliasing on the edges of the cement blocks is REALLY jaggy. I'm running RC1 Win64 with a GTX 480.

i'm getting approx 2.8 megasamples/sec on the benchmark scene (the one posted in the GTX470 thread) but this is with a non-optimized kernel so it should be more. i will make a propper report tomorrow when i'm done optimizing it. it's fast though, ...

... a better way would be to render to a certain Maxsample number and note the time it took to get there? For example, recreate the .ocs in this benchmark file to have maxsamples set to 1000. Then you could just kick it off and when it stopped the time would be your benchmark. I got to 500 samples ...

i'm getting about 2,8 megasamples/sec on the standardized benchmark scene. (the OCS one i posted) this is with one GTX480. however we haven't fully explored the optimizations for the fermi architecture, so this might go up. The chessset demo scene navigates ...
