Re: OctaneRender® 2022.1 XB4 [current 2022.1]
Just tried out the new version on one of my old scenes and I can't get denoising to work with Photon Tracing. It just seems to cycle endlessly. Is this a known issue?

Re: [Help!] Bizarre change to the PMC Caustics after Updating
Actually with the tests done with Unity, Unreal and Octane it was a Driver update issue. Each rendered lighting slightly differently (often brighter) than what they has done prior (we tested it with previous builds on our SVN).
Sadly, when post driver update, 4 separate programs produce different ...

HELP! Animating Float point values in Slate?
Hi Guys,
I'm wondering is it possible to animate materials in 3ds max? Currently none of the materials I'm using are animating as I would expect them too. Is there a way to get Octane to commit to a full scene reload to pick up these changes?
Otherwise there a work around for this?
Cheers ...

Failed to Load Render State (2020.2 RC7)
Just noticed an issue with RC7 renders. On several scenes It will not let me load up a render state I saved. Anyone else seen this? This is definitely a first for me

Re: [Help!] Bizarre change to the PMC Caustics after Updating
After testing with other renderers, I can now confirm that something is amiss with Nvidia's latest drivers and something occurs that prevent is form being resolved by reinstalling old drivers..... Can anyone confirm this (or is willing to verify)?

[Help!] Bizarre change to the PMC Caustics after Updating
So, after getting my 3080 I wanted to test it out on something tricky. On that end after downloading RC7 and updating the Nvidia driver to 461.40, I'm seeing some really weird caustic light transmission from the PMC kernel. Caustics seem to be extremely diffused and soft rather than the stronger and ...

Re: Denoising and Transparent Material Issue
@bepeg4d
I did in fact try that but it still remained, in fact it almost looked like the longer the samples went, the less the denoiser would work on the glass.
Do we know why the denoiser doesn't work well on these surfaces?
