Sounds like a fun project :D
I think I found a solution in changing another Registry setting.. believe it was HKEY CURRENT USER>SOFTWARE>WINDOWS>WINDOWS ERROR REPORTING>SET DISABLE UI TO 1 . That seems to have done the trick as I haven't gotten hung for the past 100 frames or so.
BTW - to ABSTRAX ...

Okay, I'm having a problem with Octane intermittently failing while running an animation sequence. When it fails, I get the 'octane.exe has stopped working' dialog that just stays there until I click close, whereupon the exporter detects the failure and tries again. hmm. yep that's exactly what I had done. I just re-downloaded the .zip and did it again, now everything is good-to-go. I think I may have actually downloaded the wrong RX version previously. Thanks for the help, now on to the fun!

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I have a good grasp on the procedure for doing object animations and I'm familiar with what to expect to happen and when. Like I said. I ran test object animations with fewer frames no problem.. same exact workflow. The exporter created both obj and mtl files for each frame to ...
