What the hell is wrong with you people?! This is not poor material mapping, Its is veneer applied in a staggered pattern .

Thanks for your comments guys, This is an image of a brand new piece of furniture so i dont think the client would be too happy if it had scratches and dents on it.

i was under the impression that PMC was just better than path tracing? I usually do studio based renders which render very quickly so am not usually concerned with render time.
I will try it with path tracing and see how much faster it is, cheers.

I have turned off hot pixel remover, didnt reaslise that the spinner works in reverse!!
Think it looks much sharper now but render time using the PMC kernel was over 6 hrs!
