Re: OctaneRender® for Maya® 1.33 - 2.3 Win [TEST]

Soo.. JimStar? What's going on? You guys aren't really too great at getting back to customers. A lot of questions are going unanswered in the forums, I feel. I think you should look at implementing a ticketsystem, and let the forum be a forum, where people can discuss amongst themselves if they want ...

Re: OctaneRender® for Maya® 1.33 - 2.3 Win [TEST]

I bought two licenses of this but without any luck of geting it to work in maya 2012? iS there a way to get it to work?

Daniel

I have only ever gotten version 1.5 to work in Maya 2012 myself. Ever since 1.7 and all the way up to 2.3 (current) I had to switch to Maya 2014. 2012 does not seem to ...

Re: Hypershade error

Of course I then figure it out 10 minutes later!

In the file C:\Users\Username\Documents\maya\2014-x64\prefs\userPrefs.mel I just had to remove the lines:

-sv "renderNodeTreeInitializeUserProc" "octaneInsertNodeDir \"\" \"\""
-sv "renderNodeTypeTreeInitializeUserProc" "octaneInsertNodeDir ...

Re: OctaneRender® for Maya® 1.33 - 2.3 Win [TEST]

Hi Jimstar,

I installed this version, and I am not sure if it is specific to this release, but I seem to have surfaces problems with a simple sphere. I tried to add more subdivisions but I still get the same issue. It seems that the surface (normals) are not reflecting smooth, even if the smooth ...

Re: Texture-tiling issue

There was a bug in 2.0 where the border mode was incorrectly mapped but this was fixed in 2.3. I just did a test here in Maya 2014 and 2.3 and it all works as expected.

Yup. Seems like it's yet another thing that inexplicably just broke, since the update. The texture-node in my previously ...

Texture-tiling issue

Hey guys

So, since I updated from 1.5 to 2.3 (and in so doing switching from Maya 2012 to 2014) the transform-node on textures went from dealing with number of repetitions to scale of the source texture. Since then I'm having problems with tiling, specifically because it looks like it's mirroring ...

Re: NEW: OTOY’s Brigade Engine to launch on Amazon EC2, bringing photorealistic next-generation cloud gaming to all

Stumbled over the brigade3D site last week and got utterly perplexed when noticing that Otoy was behind it all. Altho that did explain why it looked so damn pretty. Awesome news, guys! :)

Re: OctaneRender® for Maya® 1.33 - 2.3 Win [TEST]

Not that I'm expecting an answer, because customer support doesn't seem to be prioratized, but.. Is there some way to scale textures based on number of repetitions, like normal (as before)? Because the new transform-node(s) use scale, which isn't really optimal when I have a small tile I need to ...
