Even with the latest Version 21.11 linking / appending of objects / materials with
mix shader nodes don't work correctly.

I recently upgradet from Version 3 to 4 and encountered some bugs:

1. When appending / linking a Material / Object from a Blendfile created in previous Version (3.07) the Material Inputs of the Mix Material gets swapped, which makes the Material look wrong.

For you to try out just the Render Layer with alpha channel Export and a Version with a different background.
I'm still on Octane Blender Version 3.07. So maybe it is a Problem with newer Versions or just some setting problems in Photoshop...

I don't know why you get these strange results. I've even tried you're Blend File.
Here my results rendered in Blender Plug-In with the Settings mentioned in my post.

Hi JC,

it should work if you enable "premultiplied alpha" and keep the "disabled partial alpha" unchecked.

It works as expected in Version 3.08.5

thanks for the reply.
Since not mentioned does the AI-Strength Parameter gets removed with the next Version?

Here an empty Blend File , when opened in Version 3.07 Octane imager is checked.
When opening in V4 it is unchecked.

thanks for the update. Mix Materials now work again.

Checkbox Status (enable HDR tonemapping) of the Camera Imager (Preview) Panel from older files is ignored.
