Daz Octane and After Effects workflow with Motion Capture

Good morning everyone.

Here's a video that I rendered out using the Octane Plugin for Daz|Studio that uses some of our motion capture for animation. Some observations:

Yeah...no joy. Every time I try accessing the material in the standalone, Octane crashes. :(

New GPU. Definitely.

I've read on the forums here that the 580 is a touch faster than the 680, but personally I find the 4GB of VRAM on my 680 to be much more valuable than a faster render speed, but your needs may differ. If you're using it with Daz, as I am, texture management becomes a big ...

Difficulty downloading Tonysculptor's shaders from Live DB

Has anyone had any success in downloading and applying any of Tonysculptor's hair or skin shaders from the Live materials DB? I have tries multiple times and all I get is a warning that it was unable to be downloaded.

I was hoping to play around with this, but I'm not sure why this preset is being ...

Very nicely done! I've always had a soft spot in my heart for the Hind, and your renders show off the quality of the model and texturing very nicely. For baby steps...these are pretty awesome.

Looks like a great image. I especially like the black-and-white feel of it.

I do have some constructive criticism though:

1. I'm not sure I like the head-on composition. It does have a certain amount of power to the image, but at the same time, it gives the image an artificial feel to it.
