oh well...someone explain howto compile lastest freeimage? i got step-by-step tut howto install nvidia via console...im that linux-console-smart...

i downloaded and installed nvidia cuda sdk from nv website - now octane starts and renders but crashes when i try to load hdr 4 example...no error msg here...any log dump?

hmm i installed linux mint (ubuntu based) got newest NV driver and installed them

guys - did u think of implementation some kind of filter for better dof effect? like Alien Skin Bokeh for example?
regular gaussian blur does not look realistically and is not pleasant for the eye...
im not a coder but i think this could be fairly easy to create some kind of a "z-depth" and just ...

You can bake your blender light rig on an HDR file.
Make a chrome sphere in your blender and bake reflections of the chrome sphere.
You end up with an HDR that emmit light inside Octane just like your meshlight in blender.
Simple :lol:
