Displacement

Why can't i connect anything other than a Image node (rgb image, greyscale image) to the Displacement node?
And it doesnt take the Image node properties into account either... Power, gamma and invert does nothing!

Don't say i have to buy 3.0 to get these features.

Planned features for max plugin

What is your planned features for future updates?

Things like:
- object properties(visible to camera, castshadows)
- standard max maps(bitmap control etc)

Any chance to see this improved?

Re: matrix in 3dsmax

Getting the transform from an object in max is as you wrote, $.transform. (4 point3's -> point3 = [0,0,0]) The last point3 is the position/translation.
The problem is probably that max up vector is Z and octane up vector is Y (i would guess).

You could try to switch the y and z values in each ...

Re: Octane Fog

YES FOG YES

One question, would it be possible to add a fast fake fog as a post process aswell?
Using the zdepth buffer multiplied with environment colors and then overlayed like the bloom... or something like that?

Re: OctaneRender® for 3ds max® v1.0[Current]

Well it was interpolating between frames afaik, so i would call that full mb. Or do you mean tied to camera properties (shutter)?

Re: OctaneRender® for 3ds max® v1.0[Current]

OctaneRender® for 3ds max® implements all functionality of OctaneRender® standalone inside 3ds max®.
Any feature that the Standalone edition supports is supported by the 3ds max® plugin.

does this mean octane motion blur is now integrated into Max, as oppose to using the multipass MB, which ...
