Re: Evermotion Scene revesion
VRay Producer is old (2001) and strong renderer. VRay-RT is young and we would like to see all the VRay Producer tools already in the RT version =)

Re: Evermotion Scene revesion
I know a little bit VRay ehehe )))
Sub-pixel mapping in the first version of VRay was hide and, by default, ON. Clamp was exposed.
But, after the 1.46 (or 1.47) Vlado exposed this parameters.
With sub-pixel OFF, we have a better rendering, more realistic highlight, but the rendering time ...

Re: Octane+Multiscatter
VRay producer eats a lot of RAM, but it would be incredible to put my 22 GB RAM scene in 4 Gb VRAM!!!
Unfortunately I've no time now for some test. I hope in the middle/end of October.

Re: Octane+Multiscatter
Hi Karba,
I see you are an active programmer ))) compliments ;)
My question: do you think it's possible to make this scene in Octane and Multiscatter?
The problem is if it's possible with "only" 4GB RAM Nvidia graphic card.
SIDE NOTE: with VRay, I used 22 GB RAM with tons of 4-8K MAPS, 2D ...

Re: Jewelry in the sunlight
Nice, but without chromatic aberration, diamond is like a piece of glass.
And the gold, IMO, is too yellow.

Re: Beta 2.2 RC1: 3Ds Max plugin testing thread
Any plans to export vray lights and materials?
When arealights etc are implemented in Octane, yes
I'll look into vraymaterial conversion, shouldn't be that hard to implement
edit: ah didnt see your post Mads. I forgot pressing submit an hour ago :)
+1
We can use a free converter, but sometime ...

Re: feature request..
For diamond material, some aberration shader.
Right now we work for a catalog and I need aberration for our jewelry
