Hi,
We tested OctaneRender® for Maya® 3.08RC2 - 12.19-Beta with maya 2018 this time.

Our workflow maya / octane / nuke is always the same :
Image format : EXR, zip, 16bit Half.
Alpha Channel : ON
Premultiplied alpha : ON
Keep environment : OFF
By default we disable aperture on cam (defocus in 2D ...

Indeed you are right, if the bugs are differents from maya version to another, we are in deep shit.

ok,

just saw this feature:
- You can now render several Octane layers in one batch render session - just specify the coma-separated list of layer numbers in Octane global "Batch render layers" setting.
If it is well implemented, it can be a start for a godd work in VFX.

here are our first in depth report.
Some of the problems may be from since the 3.01, but we prefer to mention them all.
All tests are done with octane plug 3.08 rc1 - 12.15 beta, maya 2016.5 no sp, win7, 980x3 or 1070tix3.
Dirver version 390.77 We will test with the 12.19 beta to see if ...

This is to avoid the terrible image plane implementation in OctaneForMaya,
