We tested OctaneRender® for Maya® 3.08RC2 - 12.19-Beta with maya 2018 this time.
Our workflow maya / octane / nuke is always the same :
Image format : EXR, zip, 16bit Half.
Alpha Channel : ON
Premultiplied alpha : ON
Keep environment : OFF
By default we disable aperture on cam (defocus in 2D ...

If it is well implemented, it can be a start for a godd work in VFX.- You can now render several Octane layers in one batch render session - just specify the coma-separated list of layer numbers in Octane global "Batch render layers" setting.

All tests are done with octane plug 3.08 rc1 - 12.15 beta, maya 2016.5 no sp, win7, 980x3 or 1070tix3.
