Re: Preview of OctaneRender for Blender
I noticed that there is a server IP address in the settings window, does this allow for a seperate network computer to handle the rendering?

Re: OctaneRender™ Standalone v1.00 (current)
Hi,
I was wondering what other formats are supported in the v1.00 release? i remember back in the day it was RIB format, then it switched to Collada? or has the extra formats been scrapped all together?

Re: OctaneRender™ Standalone v1.0 RC 2 — Download here
Hi There,
Just was wondering what the future of the RIB import function will be? has it been scrapped? is there an alternative that is in the works?... seeing as it was a initial feature that has now disappeared from the features page of octane render.

Re: GTX 680 capabilities ???
GTX 580 cores are different to the GTX 680 cores... They are not as powerful in the new generation but there is more of them... Still awaiting someone to test out octane with cuda performance.... but as the opencl performance shows, the 680 may be a step back in terms of GPU Compute performance ...

Re: Kepler lineup
Benchmarks leaked... Seems like its going to be a bit overrated.... Hopefully NVIDIA can do something with the drivers to help GPU rendering performance... either that or they are limiting performance on purpose to force us to tesla cards?

Re: Applying Textures and how to manipulate the texture
You can tile a image texture by using the scale variable on the image node... if you want to be able to scale it independently on the x and y, change the scale from float to float2, that will allow you to give x y scaling options

Re: [Unsupported] Blender plugin v1.12
This is because of bmesh... old mesh objects are still using the old mesh code, new objects are using the new bmesh code...
Right now, there is limited python api for bmesh objects... if your wanting octane support, stay with the official build of blender and wait until yoyoz says its supported to ...

Re: Octane queries - lens shift, Blender etc.
I'm not an official here, but I do know the answers to a couple of these questions
1. There is no tile rendering support in octane at the moment, the lens shifting is meant for correcting perspective distortions... can be used to make interesting miniature photos -- http://www.hemmy.net/2008/03/06 ...

Re: Distributed rendering.
What we do to get all our computers working on the same shot at once, is set them all going manually... rendering to a specific number of samples... and save out the images, then in a compositing application adding them all together and dividing by the number of images
