Cinema 4D R16

Has anyone tried the plugin+2.0 with R16?
We've just received R16 in our office, but can't risk losing a workstation to software mismatches. Thanks! ;)

Re: Any Mac Pro users out there?

Yup, you'll need two licences per mac/windows combination.
But compared to the quality of the software, two licences don't cost that much

Re: Any Mac Pro users out there?

We use a single central hard disk on the server (like a time machine, NAS or similar network drive) to work from. We design our C4D project on the mac, then save it to the network, open it on the Windows machine and start the render there from the server! The output files are written to the same ...

Re: Any Mac Pro users out there?

I bought for myself a fairly standard iMac with a simple CUDA-capable card and put lots of RAM in it myself. This is the most affordable (but powerful) machine to do OSX-based Motion Graphics on (AE+C4D). The simple CUDA card is for previewing. Second to that I bought a game PC with pretty standard ...

Re: Any Mac Pro users out there?

Hi Editroom,

I guess we all have the same (sort of) issue from time-to-time: New technology seems to make your renders better/faster/nicer, but there is hardly ever an option that fills al your needs.

For me, it's pretty simple: I need the comfort of a Mac and the power of a PC for our C4D/AE ...

Re: Aliasing

You might also want to check the 'premultiply alpha' box in the camera imager tab. This fixes a lot of alpha issues for me :)

Re: Nvidia Maxwell

C'mon, no need to be so unfriendly.

The Mac Pro has ATI in it's standard configuration, no one knows what the options are for a Built-To-Order MP.
It might as well be a SLI Titan configuration, right?

Let's hope NVIDIA will keep developing the CUDA technology :)

Re: Octane and the new 2013 MacBook Pro. Will it work? YES!!

Uh, don't know about that but we let each set render it's own EXR-sequence on a server.
We could combine that already with R14 by letting each system render it's own part of the sequence.
You should check out the rest of the forum about R15, I think Aoktar planned to integrate Team Render in the ...
