I just bought a new GTX780 for my Octane Render (together with a new PC without monitor). Previously I only used laptops. Since I have an old LCD, so I did not purchase a new monitor.

When I want to install the LCD and to my video card, I realize that the GTX780 do not have a video out... it ...

Filtering out the surfaces, will still export the geometries? The objective is to cut down the object size. Let's say, I have very little GPU RAM, i don't want the unnecessary geometries to be loaded during render.

I know surface filtering will exclude the parts/objects in render from visibility ...

As subject. Is there a way to hide unwanted objects or parts?

Currently I am running Octane with DAZ Plugin on a laptop with GT540M 1GB.

I plan to buy a machine for Octane (mainly for Octane render), currently I have 2 models in mind:

- a laptop with GT730M 4GB DDR3 (cost $1100)
- a desktop with GTX640 4GB DDR3 (cost $1700 ...
