Re: Password for Archicad plugin?
There is only the data for the standalone in there, I guess because I didn't purchase the plugin yet. Is it possible to try a demo for the plugin first? Where can I get it?

Password for Archicad plugin?
To activate the plugin in Archicad, it needs a password and the manual says this info is in the customer section of this website. My profile has no such data. Where can I get this password? I do have the OctaneLive user ID.

Re: EVGA GTX680
What about other GTX 600 series cards, does anyone know if they are all going to be like that, not very good for computing?

Re: bathroom blues
Thanks for the blood, Kubo
I'm still missing that body, maybe a few detached limbs at least and something really bad written on the wall with blood...

"Said,
you should try rendering 2x-4x the final size with less maxsamples and then scale down.
The result is quicker and better.

What does scaling down mean, simply reducing the size e.g. in Gimp? I tried this on a noisy render but it doesn't make any difference... What's the trick here ...

If you can hang on a bit, Keplar cards should be due out in April.Their supposed to be around 25% more efficient than the current cards. (well thats the rumor circulating at the moment)

Re: Screwed with cables?
hm, is it definitely the graphics card making the noise? could be the psu also. usually this is are coils starting to oscillate under load. but whatever card you get, you should prepare yourself to also change the psu - might be necessary...
I checked again and the noise definitely seems to come ...
