Re: Camera mismatch...

Yeah i had the aspect ratio matching and pixel ratio at 1, i even tried an aspect ratio 1,3333 (had it at 1.7778) but if anything that seems to have zoomed it more...

Camera mismatch...

Hi face and others,

i've not used octane in a long while and am just getting back to it with the current exporter but the camera always seems to be a little zoomed in wich is a nightmare for comping with other MR passes - and for my workflow that is a must.

Re: Beta 2.2 RC1: SoftImage XSI plugin testing thread

Thanks for the info face!

I'm really looking forward to this plug-in! Very curious how i can fit it into my workflow - just to use Octane's speed for a simple GI pass inside Softimage would be great 8-)

Re: Beta 2.2 RC1: SoftImage XSI plugin testing thread

Yeah i woud like to know that as well - any plans for a public beta? I hope Refractive won't take as long as Vray to integrate :P

Btw that's not directed at you Face - i don't know wether or not you're involved with the plugin or not, i just couldn't think of better thread to ask, the beta testers ...

Re: OctaneRender® 1.025 b2.57 Test release [CURRENT]

Well i haven't checked back in a while because i couldn't really "cut up" my renders for post work with the previous versions, had lost faith to be honest and was back on MR but having a material ID channel to generate masks is great! I'm back on board 8-) (and looking forward to not using MR's ...

Re: Beta 2.2 RC1: SoftImage XSI plugin testing thread

Yeas!!! :D Finally got it to work!!! Thank you, thank you!

To be honest i have no idea why i couldn't get it to work before - i think the only thing i did different was check "override existing"...

It is giving me an "Argument 0 is invalid" error even though it's working but i'll give it a more ...

Re: Beta 2.2 RC1: SoftImage XSI plugin testing thread

Ok that makes sense but i still notice one small thing and am stuck on one big thing:

small thing: when using phong the texture gets exported when it's a single image, but when an image sequence is connected nothing gets exported (not even in phong and with SI 2011) - you'd think that at least the ...
