Why in the picture does the live viewer show DL as the kernel when in settings it is PT?

Yes to a degree :) I was really hoping to get him to send me the scene so I could look at it and see what he did, but I am still waiting for a reply. I am still known as MasterNoob in small circles 8-)

Re: PMC Settings - Getting a balance between quality and speed

Thank you all for the help, I completely overlooked using EIS lighting, for some reason was not associating EIS lighting for LEDs

Also thanks for the PT suggestions have reduced my renders from 6 hours to 30 minutes with decent results.

I need to update my hardware so bought a couple ...

Thank you, the Octane camera tag (above) was a new one for me. My scene was edited by someone who was helping me and I did not have this experience before so I wasn't sure what happened. All is well now :D

Re: cameraimager/ response not working?

Have you by any chance enabled the Camera Imager in the Octne Camera Tag? It overwrites the general imager settings in Octane Settings. Other than that - there is no other reason.

cameraimager/ response not working?

I have a scene that suddenly is no longer responding to the cameraimager response. No mater what camera I use it stays the same.

I can open other scenes and the cameraimager response works fine.

Is there a way to somehow turn on/off the cameraimager response ?

Thanks, flat is not working on the sidewall here is a scene file if you want to try it http://metalruin.com/tire-scene.zip

Re: PMC Settings - Getting a balance between quality and speed

He is using black environment color.
Another fake try here. Propably your modelling/setup does not match the real model. Somethings is blocking the lights to reach to out.

Another beauty, love the metal texture, thank you for the scene redo aoktar!

BTW you are rendering at 32.311 I am rendering ...

Re: PMC Settings - Getting a balance between quality and speed

Why would you even use PMC for that? By the look of it - Path Tracing or even Direct Lighting would be enough to render this in a blaze.

I was saying above

I was using PMC because I noticed it handles light better, seems to spread more light across the wheels which is more true to life like the ...
