Re: OctaneRender 2020 for DAZ Studio [TEST and STABLE]

@Witpapier

The new Prime/Free version only supports 1 GPU. You need a subscription now to take advantage of multi GPUs.

Re: OctaneRender 4 / All Access - Update FAQ

A follow up to my previous response. If a subscription model is the new way then it should work like this.

Customer purchases 1 or 2 years of support. They get access to the plugin of choice and all updates for the duration of that year or 2 years. After the subscription period they no longer ...

Re: OctaneRender 4 / All Access - Update FAQ

I agree with Trrazor. As a hobbyist Daz Plugin user the lack of a complete feature set is unacceptable if I am expected to pay monthly or yearly. Saying something is to difficult or will require a complete rewrite is not an acceptable answer for a product that people are paying for. And now we are ...

Re: Hair and other models in wrong positions

Yah this happens a lot. When it does happen I just click the Reload-->Rebuild Scene at the bottom of the OctaneRender Viewport window.

The only way I can think that this happens is like this.

1. Items get loaded into the scene in their vanilla state.
2. DAZ is busy preventing any other ...

G8 Eyebrow

Has anyone been able to render the G8 Eyebrow with the Daz Octane plugin? I have been unable to get this mesh to render at all. Other products like Oh My Brows work just fine. I have checked that the mesh is visible in renders and that the material opacity not set to 0.

Re: OctaneRender 3 for DAZ Studio [TEST and STABLE]

I can also confirm the high bump map values being applied to G8 when using the auto generate missing materials. This is how I came about the copy paste issue while trying to apply the same bump values to the different materials.

Re: OctaneRender 3 for DAZ Studio [TEST and STABLE]

After uninstalling and reinstalling Octane the Right click to copy/paste is mostly restored & Ctrl+C stopped spewing code but it is imposable to right click to copy; not that it matters as long as Ctrl+C works. However Ctrl+V still opens the dialogue window, but this has been a (?)bug(?) for a while ...

Re: GTX 1070 x3 PSU

Wow that's some great data, thanks for such a fast & quality response.

I know my system would pushing it's absolute limits in regards to 3x gpu setup. Not only in power but also PCIe lanes. I think to be safe it would be best to get at least a 1kw PSU before adding an extra GPU. I would rather ...
