780 ti - I just picked up two off ebay last week for 300 each. It's a buyers market on the 7xx series right now, as gamers jump to 9xx.

Even got a 780 classified for 250 shipped. I was pretty happy about that one.

I won't lie. The release announcement is a mixture of anxiety / excitement and wonder. Great job guys!

Any hint of how the opencl stuff will perform? Or do I need to unload 8 780's on ebay right now?!?!!?

Well now that we have the Octane 3 announcement. I am really curious about AMD performance - the 290x opencl benchmarks are CRAZY.

I wish knew how the other hardware are going to perform. I just dropped a ton of loot into new nvidia cards.

I think the 780 ti is the sweet spot for us at the moment. I just picked up 2 on Ebay for 350 each... which is a pretty good price all things considered.

Is there any impact on animation? Like cracking of mesh's etc if we are using Octane subD?
