I have no problem with the noise now, but still there are lot of things I need to tune.

That really worked,I went further and reduced the gamma down to 0.5. I balanced the hdr texture power as well and it looks a lot better now.Thanks for the tip.

Amazing...but that really worked,I went further and reduced  the gamma down to 0.5. I balanced the hdr texture power as well and it looks a lot better now. I will post the new images next week because my graphical tablet suddenly gave up working properly.Thanks for the tip again, RickToxik.

those octane rendered images from the Otoy facebook page look so realistic(especially the one with human face),must admit i was really impressed.For a second,I even thought it was someone's picture taken by camera )) But so far, it's a great tool for rendering models in standalone version, let's ...

Does anyone have problem with noise when rendering scene using HDR image in Maya 2013?Did you come up with solution?

Hi Chris,
But I still couldn't manage to make the plugin work properly in maya 2013, the plugin needs to be improved to be more compatible with Maya HDR.
Any new updates or patches in near time?

Initially, I didn't add the floor in Maya mainly because my focus was on reducing noise that were reflecting from the car.However,later on, I spent little time,added the floor and experimented with its properties(opacity,specularity etc) in Octane Standalone only ...
