This is an old bug, but it's an annoying one.
If you move an area light, then hit ctrl+Z to undo the move, the light does not update. You have to click on something else in the viewport, then the light will magically update.
Would be nice to have this fixed!

Re: More Scattering capabilities
Agreed, it would be super nice to have additional control in terms of distribution / clustering of objects.
There was a great list of scatter requests posted in the general board a while back - unfortunately nothing really got implemented. But maybe with new devs, we could hope to see some of these ...

Re: Cinema4D version 2025.1-Beta-2 Build 0102
Awesome to see initial redshift materials/conversion support!
Just confirming based on the release notes, but the main feature that differentiates this 2025 build vs the latest 2024 build is the 5000 series support, right? The new 2025 features like decals are not implemented yet?

Multiple HDRIs at once
It would be great to be able to use multiple HDRIs at one time instead of having them override each other.

Re: The many core issues holding Octane back
Agree 100%. Personally, I could care less about many of these big speculative features that are announced once a year (and seemingly stay in beta/development forever), and I would much rather have smaller incremental changes that are less sexy, but make Octane a more production focused tool.

Re: Which feature do you need the most?
I had posted this request in the C4D section but was informed that it's a limitation of OctaneCore, so I'm reposting here.
It would be great to have a streamlined workflow / UI for light linking. I think Redshift is a good reference here, where each light has a tab that can exclude/include specific ...

Re: HDRI - streamline controls & saturation
I didn't know that change was added in 2024 versions. I reverted back to 2023 when 2024 was giving me more bugs/crashes, but I'll try the newer version again.
I still think it would be nice to have a simple saturation slider in the attributes like some other renderers have

Re: Which feature do you need the most?
It's seemingly not much different from Nishita / Planetary. Any paper available? Documentations from these mentioned renderers are not informative.
Admittedly, I don't understand all of the technical nitty-gritty, but here is a link to the paper and presentation from SIGGRAPH:

PRG Clear Sky Daylight model would be so nice. That's what Vray and Corona use, and it looks great
