Re: OctaneRender 3 for ArchiCAD [TEST and STABLE]

Hey,

I still have a "blue tint" problem. It is only in material preview window, both preview render and final is OK. Some materials are bad, some are OK. Few examples:

Re: OctaneRender 3 for ArchiCAD [TEST and STABLE]

Hey Paul

Thanks, it now works fine in AC21. One more small issue - if you try to add a plugin shortcut to a manu layout there is no icon available now so I have to click an empty space ;)

Re: OctaneRender 3 for ArchiCAD [TEST and STABLE]

Hey,

I cannot start latest plugin in Archicad 21 (Octane 3.07 TEST 6). It hangs up on "Loading materials from scene. Please wait" - tested on 2 Archicads 21 pl / windows 10. Also - after install there is no Octane icon in documents / visualisation / octanerender.

[edit] Just checked: it does work ...

Re: Archicad lamps?

Some very interesting ideas in both of your posts. I was able to have best results with no ceiling / wall behind camera and hdr lighting, but still it was just not good. Thanks, I will definite!y try your solutions also.

Re: Archicad lamps?

Hey,

I must say I have problems with making realistic interiors using only lamps. If there's a window in a room - render looks great. If not ( like in a bathroom ) - it is just bad. I would like to hear some of your tips and tricks :)

Anyway, I just upgraded to AC19 thinking, that I will be able ...

Re: Using OBJ objects and textures

That's really not that big deal - I can adjust it manually as Rappet says and it works. Thank you for your help!

Re: Using OBJ objects and textures

Any luck with this? I can't get xfrog trees to look right. When I export from xfrog 3.5 as *.obj any tree I tried - it either has a proper color of leafs ( but is not transparent ) or after changing "Map_Kd" to "Map_d" it has a proper transparency ( but doesn't have a color ).

when I am using *.xfr ...

Re: Using OBJ objects and textures

Hey,

I had similar problems with object that had both a long name and a long texture names. The path to this file was also quite long ( as it was also burried deep down on my desktop in folder in another folder etc. - with a long path to it ).

I made both *.obj name and texture names short, copied ...
