Love this - Glad to see Octane being used for a wide variety of styles. Reminds me of Mr Benn & other old tv shows I watched as a child.

Very nice! Are there any other settings to pay attention to? I can't seem to get the fine detail within the shape like you have...(used the same numbers as you've shown in your screenshot)

I've tried batch rendering via Maya menu - where I get no verbose message (I only get the display when clicking render frame)
and I've also tried via command line where I've just put render.exe filename.ma into a batch file(where I expect it to correctly use my saved render globals)

Hi Jimstar - the problem I'm having only seems to affect batchrenders - clicking the render frame button kicks out the correct verbose display (exactly as you posted) and renders out using the correct GPU..
any ideas?

EDIT - I just tried a command line batch render and the verbose reports

plugin ignoring CUDA device selection?

Hi Jimstar, I noticed recently that the Maya plugin seems to ignore which GPU I choose to render on - I have two GTX670s and no matter which box I tick it always renders using the first one (if I only choose one, that is). The standalone renderer doesn't seem to have this issue.

update - so the problems I had were related to my license! support replied telling me to try deleting the appdata/octane folder contents , to force a refresh - and lo & behold things have been stable since :)

Hi all, just purchased my license today..

Having some bizarre problems - this morning I was able to use the plugin fine for a while (albeit in a basic fashion, as I'm not familiar with the Octane workflow just yet).
-load plugin, authenticated
-I could create shapes, add a sun/sky light
-add Octane ...

That makes sense -I don't suppose there's an ETA on a Maya demo? Oh - and unfortunately the machine I'll be getting has Kepler cards in it, I hope there's a Kepler friendly build for Maya users?
