Speaking of Foundry no longer supporting Modo, do you still plan to develop Octane Render for Modo moving forward?

When can we expect an update to 2024.1.2 or even 2025? Haven't seen an update since October.

Also, I'm having trouble understanding the AOV system.
Could you implement an automatic AOV node system. One-button shortcut that creates the impossibly complex AOV system automatically?

Shadow AOV to Material Mask

I'd like to use the Octane Shadow AOV as a material mask, but I haven't figured out a way to convert it.
Its use would be for a render of Earth from space showing the night lights (Emission material) opposite of the sun.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,
.VDB's disappear when placed onto a placement node or group node through Octane Standalone when imported into MODO as a proxy.
Connecting a single .VDB directly onto the Render Target appears though.
Windows 10. Octane 2021.1.5.186 & 2021.1.3.184.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Hello,

Hi Paul,
Why does dragging octane override materials to different groups rename the octane override material to that group name?
Is there an option to disable this so the original names remain intact? This has been an issue for me for years for Modo/Octane and it would honestly save me a significant ...

Hi Paul,
When using Modo 15.2v1, the Octane materials are not being saved when dragging the items into the preset library to create an .lxl for transferring prepped models between scenes.
As a work around I have been reverting to Modo 15.0v3 to create the preset :(

Found a weird issue
Unable to render with the farm nodes using any type of Modo Light or a Mesh with an Octane emission. Keep receiving Cuda errors 700, or 719, or a 999 on the Node PC side.

Creating a Mesh light inside of Octane Standalone then using it as a .orbx proxy was a workaround, for now ...
