rendertime object swap (gsg tutorial)

Hi,

Iv'e recently been struggeling with C4Ds performance concerning many objects with heavy geometry, things becoming REALLY unresponsive. I had several bigger customer projects (clubs, restaurants, lounges, lots of upholstered furniture/chairs...). For me it's often not about picture-perfect ...

Re: Any news about cost of ORC

I can totally second that. I'm even smaller here, I'm willing to invest, but in need a direction where this is going to. Is there any official timeline for ORC?

Thank you.

Re: Version 2.24.0 - R1 (05.08.2015) - latest stable

Hi,

I'm experiencing crashes since the last two releases ( R6025 - pure virtual function call). I cant reproduce the crash on purpose, I have the feeling it sometimes comes up when reloading the live viewer, but as I said, it might also just crash out of the blue. I managed to get a bug report ...

Re: Help for Render Failure (SOLVED)

I've seen something similar, and from the other forum posts, it seems to be a displacement bug/problem. If you bump the subdivision too high (I think 1024 was the last that worked for me) you get crashes.

render queue file names

Hi

I have a hard time figuring out proper file naming when using the render queue with multipasses. The filename that is set in the OctaneRender tab of the render settings is overwritten by every subsequent render, but has to be specified to get the passes working. The Two filenames (single and ...

Re: Version 2.11.1 - RC1

Thank's for looking into it aoktar!

Redirecting the save path to the local folder (./tmp.exr) didn't help. Neither did disabling the ao pass. Once I disable the renderpasses at all the behavior disappears, so it looks like it's linked to the passes.

Is anyone else having these problems, so we can ...

Re: Version 2.11.1 - RC1

It is simply amazing at which speed you push the updates =). Great work!

I can confirm MoGrafiks crash, even though it's not a full blown crash but rather a stall (hence, no crashreport):

If you stop the render in the queue or picture viewer, it stalls and waits for something in the background to ...

Re: Version 2.10.0 - TEST1 - fixed (01.10.14)

Great that we finally have passes =)

Is anyone else experiencing c4d stalls when trying to stop a render in the picture viewer? It's only happening with the passes switched on.
