Re: Wordl Creator bridge
Same problem here. I read on the facebook group of octane that the team of World creator is sending over their bridge files. Curious when otoy will present them to us. Can't wait!

Re: Best way to save output - questions
@KeeWe Don't worry too much about it. Png is fine. It has it's flaws, true, but every format does. And for high-end productions, use EXR. In Elsksa's defense: It's just his opinion, and he is entitled to it.

Re: Best way to save output - questions
I worked with "hollywood graded vfx houses" or what are they called these days, and they all have different workflows depending on what they are going for.
Software: Almost all of them had After effects/Nuke/Flame or even Smoke (discontinued these days) for compositing/motion graphics. Also all of ...

Re: Z Depth AOV is black in After effects
After effects works just fine, don't worry. You just need to put 'extractor on the zdepth channel (effect-3D Channel - extractor).

Re: Octane transfer camera projections
Thank you again for your time Aoktar.
So if I drop (for example) an octane diffuse material on my second Building (the "example building projected"), where do I setup this projection node? Normally I would only use projection nodes on a image texture node, is that correct?
So I don't really get it ...

Re: Octane transfer camera projections
Hi Aoktar,
Thank you for your answer! However, camera mapping from texture tags is not exactly what I'm looking for.
Attached is a project file of what I mean exactly. This is a very simplified file from a projection mapping rig that is made for preparing a live mapping show. As you will see, on ...

Octane transfer camera projections
Hi all,
For a projection mapping job I need the following: I have 2 cameras, a cube and a plane in my scene. Cam 1 looks at the cube, cam 2 looks at the plane.
I need to be able to project what cam 1 sees, onto the plane.
In Native cinema 4d this is easily done with the mograph camera shader ...

Virtual textures (blending 2 object materials)
Hi there,
This is probably a stupid question, but one can never know if this would be possible (or something close to this) in Octane c4d.
In Unreal there is a possiblity to 'blend' 2 objects together trough their materials.
For example: a rock on the ground has mat 1 and the landscape where the ...

Re: Vertex map fields live viewer refreshes
Hey Aoktar,
Thx for answering! I sended the file to e friend who works with cycles, and this issue does not appear with him. Is there really no workaround? It's a bit frustrating to work like that, since I'm using XP and vertex maps with fields a lot for a job right now. If not, so be it. But one ...

Vertex map fields live viewer refreshes
Hi all,
I'm having this kinda annoying issue where the live viewer keeps refreshing (3-4 times) before it renders out a frame completely. It also refreshes everytime I click on an object, or select a material...
