Same problem here. I read on the facebook group of octane that the team of World creator is sending over their bridge files. Curious when otoy will present them to us. Can't wait! :-)

@KeeWe Don't worry too much about it. Png is fine. It has it's flaws, true, but every format does. And for high-end productions, use EXR. In Elsksa's defense: It's just his opinion, and he is entitled to it. ;)

I worked with "hollywood graded vfx houses" or what are they called these days, and they all have different workflows depending on what they are going for.

After effects works just fine, don't worry. You just need to put 'extractor on the zdepth channel (effect-3D Channel - extractor).

So if I drop (for example) an octane diffuse material on my second Building (the "example building projected"), where do I setup this projection node? Normally I would only use projection nodes on a image texture node, is that correct?
So I don't really get it ...

Octane transfer camera projections

Hi all,

For a projection mapping job I need the following: I have 2 cameras, a cube and a plane in my scene. Cam 1 looks at the cube, cam 2 looks at the plane.

I need to be able to project what cam 1 sees, onto the plane.

In Native cinema 4d this is easily done with the mograph camera shader ...

Vertex map fields live viewer refreshes

Hi all,

I'm having this kinda annoying issue where the live viewer keeps refreshing (3-4 times) before it renders out a frame completely. It also refreshes everytime I click on an object, or select a material...

This only happens if I put a vertex map on (whatever) object en enable the fields ...
