and yah I dont expect amazing results but it is better than blender internal and/or luxrender which is my only other options at this point

Yah sorry I forgot to mention, I am on a mac and I have tried the files with the demo suite to the same result of immediate crash.

So I went and downloaded the demo of octane hoping to buy soon, but when I installed CUDA 3.0 it said it was not installed and failed to open at all. Just to see what would happen, I downloaded and installed CUDA 3.2 and this time octane opens but when I add an .obj node and click to render, it ...
